"Oh, Delilah" Short Stories, Part 1 (2023)
She glared at him and began to burn with a passion❤️🔥. There was something different about him, a certain light that made her darkened soul hunger for his attention. She couldn't put her finger on it, but the distinction was undeniably there. He carried himself differently than the other guys, and this sparked her interest. Her name was Delilah, and she was determined to get a piece of him no matter what.
She didn't want to commit, she just wanted to add him to the roster. She wanted to check him off like an activity on her bucket list. Why was he so intriguing to her? He was attractive, but surely she had seen and experienced better looking men. Maybe it was his love for God? She had never experienced such innocence before. Her soul was like a rapacious wolf 🐺 , in a land with no food. Her spirit was dry, dark and feening for the warmth of light to grace her insides, both sexually and spiritually. She desired satisfaction and wouldn't rest until she had it.
She began to scheme and went deep into her closet. She moved past the lingerie and foreplay attire and retrieved a bright red dress adorned with black lace that had a silver undertone. She knew that he attended Living Word House Of Prayer every Sunday, a little church off of Privy Dr.
She knew this because he would always invite her to church. She would tell him that she'd come, but her feet never seemed to make it past the threshold of the church. She'd make it to Privy Dr, but the car breaks would become as if they were non-existent, and she just couldn't find herself able to stop. Something in her would begin to scream every time she approached the church, so she never went.
Her starvation for a piece of freedom; her desire for his light to warm her cold-empty soul ignited her flames of passion❤️🔥. She made a decision to go to church this Sunday, but it wasn't a sudden desire to get right with the Lord. She had devised a plan to get in Anthony's good graces, and ultimately created a scheme to get Anthony inside her 😈….

Part 2 (2023)
Delilah was determined, her efforts were dead set on the corruption of Anthony. In her twisted mind the idea of changing his life forever riveted her even more. It wasn't like Anthony was rich and extremely successful, she just wanted to consume his essence. She prepared the dress and sat it to the side a week early, eager to play out the script she constructed in her mind. She remembered her last attempt at Anthony didn't go so well.
…
It was a Friday night, January 2020 when she had first met Anthony. They were at a social gathering. Delilah didn't care about the gathering, she was there with a mission to find her next play toy. The men at the party were together in one section of the gathering, drinking beers and having a conversation. Everyone was drinking, except for one guy. His demeanor was different and he had a certain glow about him. He was drinking a bottle of water, but also engaged in the conversation. Somehow the conversation they were having turned into an argument about Christianity faith. Delilah sat on the sofa, listening. Everytime Anthony opened his mouth and spoke it caught her attention and occasionally sent a chill down her spine.
“Girl here” her friend Dresni handed her a dazzling sky blue margarita with a salted rim. Delilah asked,“Who is that?”, she pointed with a gentle head gesture in Anthony’s direction, and she took a sip of the margarita. “Oh, girl that's my cousin Anthony” Dresni cut her eyes at Delilah in suspicion, “why?”. Delilah laughed “girl nothing!, I was just asking”, she tried to brush it off like it was nothing. “He's a church-boy and that's my baby so don't get no ideas cause I will drag you!” Dresni said with a snicker. “Girl you know what I go for, church boys are not my type” Delilah replied. “Type?” Dresni snapped in reply, “girl the only ‘type’ you do is at the computer”, they shared a glance and burst into laughter. Their random outburst caught the attention of the men gathered together. Eventually they were all together. Delilah saw an opportunity to introduce herself to Anthony.
Anthony and the rest of the men came over to where Delilah and Dresni were sitting, and they all started to converse. Anthony was sitting next to Delilah on the sofa, but he didn't pay her any attention, so she thought. Anthony saw how Delilah was dressed and heard the way she spoke. He immediately knew he wasn't interested. He saw the way she kept looking at his crotch area when she thought no one was looking. She just wasn't Anthony's type, unlike most men Anthony had standards and didn't chase after open legs. She leaned over and said “you look so uncomfortable”, in hopes to break the silence between the two. Anthony replied, “yeah, this isn't usually my scene”.
When he replied to her she scooted in his direction until their shoulders touched. Anthony knew her intentions, but he remained relaxed. “So why did you come?” She asked Anthony. “My cousin wanted me to come celebrate her new engagement” he said. “Oh you mean Dres?, she told me you were her cousin” Anthony shook his head and said “unfortunately”. Delilah burst into laughter and touched Anthony's knee. Anthony smirked, but when she touched him a wave of discomfort resonated throughout his body and suddenly he knew exactly what type of girl Delilah was.
Anthony didn't want to give off the impression of interest in Delilah, so he made sure to minimize his interaction with her. The way he reserved himself made her even more interested, and the fact that he wouldn't engage her the way she was used to men engaging with her made her want his attention even more. Delilah decided to switch up her approach. She didn't want to seem too desperate so she pulled back her usual strategy and began to rethink. “So what church do you attend?” She asked Anthony. His eyes gently lit up, she knew she had sparked his interest. “Living Word House Of Prayer off Privy drive”, Anthony turned in Delilah's direction. “You should come visit”, he said. In his mind he thought “she could use a little Jesus”.
Delilah saw the success she had made by turning the conversation into a faith-based interaction. She began to pretend like she was enjoying the conversation; she was only on the topic to achieve her goal. Even though her intentions were impure, she received enlightenment in their conversation, not to much avail. She still was dead set on her mission to get a taste of something new. While they were talking Anthony spoke about some things that puzzled Delilah in an interesting way. She asked questions and his answers were like he had known her past. She was intrigued by how precise and raw his responses were. Although she only had one goal in mind, the conversation sparked a genuine interest in Anthony. She still wanted what she wanted. Although Anthony knew that she was only talking to him for one reason, he saw this as an opportunity to bring another person into the Gospel fold.
The end of the night was approaching and Delilah knew that she wouldn't be getting what she came for, but she believed she had her foot in the door. She came for a play toy; unbeknownst to her, she found a treasure instead. She never expected to be genuinely interested in someone like Anthony. Before, she was only interested because Anthony proposed something different, but now after experiencing a certain freedom in her interaction with him she desired to feel that freedom within.
A stronger desire to have Anthony was birthed in Delilah, and would Anthony's hero complex be his downfall?
